To install rooftop solar in Sri Lanka, select a registered service provider. A large number of service providers exist, and they must be registered at the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority (SLSEA). You can find a list of registered service providers on the SLEA website.
How many mw can a solar rooftop project generate a year?
With the additional financing, this has been increased to an expected capacity of 60 MW with an estimated gross power generation of 94.6 gigawatt-hours (GWh) per year. The initial project design was to add 50 MW of renewable energy capacity from solar rooftop subprojects.
How many solar PV projects have been approved?
By the end of 2019, about 2,081 subprojects have been approved amounting to 23.5 megawatts of total solar PV installations. Technical verification post-installation was also supported. A detailed research study on large-scale photovoltaic integration to the grid was also conducted.
