Motor Oil and Terna Energy announced on Monday the development of Greece’s first offshore wind farm. The wind farm will be built in the sea area between Alexandroupolis and the island of Samothrace and will be operational by the end of the decade, the Greek companies said. They will contribute to the EU''s goals of integrating energy markets and decarbonizing the energy system. The Prinos Carbon Storage project, developed by EnEarth, a subsidiary of the UK-based oil and gas company Energean, aims to store up to 3 million tonnes of CO2 annually by leveraging existing infrastructure.
