Figures from Enerdata suggest that Tunisia will need to invest around US$300 million a year until 2030 to reach a threshold of 500MW of annual renewable capacity additions, if it is to hit its target of accounting for 35% of power generation with renewable power.

The second tender calls for two projects of unspecified capacity in Hechain, Gabes governate and Khobna, Sidi Bouzid governate.
How will the Energy Transition Fund work in Tunisia?
The financing will take the form of rebates granted to Tunisian households allocated by the Energy Transition Fund (FNME). The financial institution will also be able to grant loans for the purchase and installation of equipment.
